Ashley, Stylist
Ashley has been a stylist for 6 years. She is an artist at heart and was an art major in college. By becoming a stylist she as able to do something different, but still be artistic, creative and visual. She loves the instant gratification that being a stylist gives her. She loves that she can change the look and and the spirits of her clients in just a short time. She loves the colors and creating unique color looks for every client. She is a hard worker and a great listener. She loves the diversity and different experiences of the staff at David Alexander and meeting different people every day.
Beth, Senior Stylist
A stylist and colorist for 26 years, Beth graduated from the Robert Lewis Institute of Hair Concepts in Maryland. In addition to styling, Beth has been a color educator for a major manufacturer, distributor sales consultant, cosmetology school instructor, and fashion and hair events coordinator and participant. Her specialties include color application to produce dimensional, highlighted, and colored hair, as well as corrective color application, men's and women's cuts, straightening, and razor cuts. Her friends describe her as smart, funny, a good listener and a person that loves her job. She loves the teamwork at David Alexander and the ability to be creative every day. She got her inspiration from her grandmother who was a hairstylist in England.
Chrissy, Senior Stylist
Courtney, Master Stylist
Courtney has been in the beauty industry for a decade. She trained at Graham Webb International and has completed continuing education with Bumble and Bumble, Goldwell, Alfaparf and Schwarzkopf. She attends the L'Oreal Professionnel SoHo Academy on an annual basis. She specializes in hair design, incorporating both cutting and coloring. She also does formal hair and razor cutting for men and women and also has received advanced training in hair extensions.
Dede, Senior Stylist
Dede has been in the beauty industry for nearly 15 years and loves her craft. Her coast-to-coast advanced education gives an edge to her custom look and styles. Her specialties include dimensional color, advance foiling, corrective color, and award winning hair designs. Her educational history includes Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Rusk, and Graham Webb. Her project achievements include runway fashion, platform work, fashion photography, magazine editing, artistic team member and educator.
Holly, Senior Stylist
Holly has been in the beauty industry for 16 years. Her specialty is clipper cutting, highlighting and corrective color. Holly has received training from Keune, Wella, Redken and L'Oreal Professionnel and has taken specialized workshops in color and foils. Holly loves working with the public, and always makes her clients feel special with her classic and trendy styles.
Hope, Master Stylist
Hope is a master hair designer, colorist, trainer and former salon owner bringing more than 20 years of experience to the David Alexander team. An artist known for her creative styling, she is a genius with straight or curly hair types, precision to tousled cuts and the most elegant formal updo's imaginable. Hope has trained under cut and color masters form Las Vegas, Atlanta and New York City including Toni & Guy, Graham Webb, Redken 5th Ave, Wella International and Nick Arrojo of the acclaimed TV hit "What Not To Wear". For the last 8 years she has trained annually with Vidal Sassoon at their London and Toronto Academies for classic to creative cuts and innovative color design applications ranging from soft and natural to unique and outrageous, including the 2010 Spring Collection class. With the David Alexander's team Hope continues to educate and create beautiful personalized shapes and innovative color designs for her clients ranging from fashion forward classic, classy to elegant or edgy to fun.
Jama, Stylist
Jama has been in the beauty industry for 15 years. She started as a receptionist and worked her way into management and customer service. In 2007 she became an apprentice under the guidance of Master Stylist Hope. She was always fascinated with the art of hair design. Being an art student, the variations of color, texture, shape and design have always appealed to her whether on canvas or hair. Her favorite activity is interacting with people, creative design and using color and placement. She excels at formal hair styling. Jama is naturally full of energy and dedicated to clients.
Jamie, Senior Stylist
Jamie has been in the industry for 15 years, being inspired to become a hair stylist by her cousin. Her favorite activity is making people beautiful and giving them a new look. She excels at cutting and coloring, has received certification in hair extensions and attended advanced training at L'Oreal Professionnel's SoHo Academy. People describe her as spunky and a perfectionist. She loves her co-workers and the environment of the salon.
Jennifer W, Senior Stylist
Jennifer has 21 years experience in the beauty industry. She has attended many specialized training classes and hands on workshops with Vidal Sassoon, Matrix, L'Oreal Professionnel, Goldwell, Keune and Redken. Her warm personality and interest in getting to know her clients along with extensive knowledge in both classic and modern cutting, coloring and styling techniques are exceptional.
Jenny S, Senior Stylist
Jenny has been in beauty all her life. She grew up in the hair profession with her mom and sister who were both hairdressers. She started shampooing their clients when she was 14. Jenny has always been creative, and when she learned she could not only express her creativity but also help people feel fabulous, she knew being a hair stylist was what she wanted to do. Her greatest enjoyment is making people feel good about themselves when they leave. Though she enjoys all aspects of hair design, she her greatest joy is dimensional color. Jenny regularly attends education and training classes to ensure her skills remain on the leading edge of hair design. Fun, fashionable and down to earth, Jenny is a detail oriented designer who loves every minute of her job.
Karla, Master Stylist
Karla has been creating innovative and trendy styles since graduating from Cosmetology School at the age of 16. Since then, Karla has gained experience in several first class hair salons in Maryland before coming to David Alexander. Over the years she has attended numerous training seminars and has designed custom wigs, men's hairpieces and hair extensions. Karla loves people and is constantly aspiring to stay at the forefront of the latest designs and trends.
Lauren, Stylist
Lauren is a graduate of The Fila Academy: A Paul Mitchell Partner School. Her areas of expertise are color correction, dimensional color and contemporary haircuts and styles. She is very energetic, and a fun-spirited person with an obvious passion for hair. She can't wait to meet you!
Michelle, Master Stylist
Michelle has over 17 years of hair design and color technology experience. She is well versed with the latest color and applications. Michelle joined David Alexander Salon and Spa in 1996, and has attended numerous hair design training classes, including L'Oreal Professionnel Paris, Redken Fifth Ave. and Graham Webb.
Neil, Senior Stylist
Neil has been a stylist for 10 years, graduating from the world renown Graham Webb Academy. Since Neil is very artistic and loves interacting with people, styling and coloring came very naturally to him. He loves to change people on the outside and watch the inside follow with the confidence of a new look. He excels at cut and color. He knows what he's good at and sticks to it. He has been published on 3 separate occasions, including the cover of a hair styling book. He is confident, motivated, a good listener and sensitive to client needs. He loves that David Alexander works so hard to accommodate every client, whether they be trendy, family, working or business class. He will do everything to meet and exceed the client's expectations.
Nicole, Senior Stylist
Nicole has been designing hair for about a decade and has been in the industry since she was 14 years old. She was inspired to pursue beauty industry career because she wanted to make others feel beautiful. She loves making people feel good about themselves and helping to make the world a more beautiful place. She excels at being creative and thinking outside the box when it comes to hair design. Her clients also say she has an extensive knowledge of hair products and tools, which ensures her clients can consistently recreate their look at home. She loves her co-workers and being in an environment where she is encouraged and challenged by new things. Recently certified in hair extensions, she is excited to offer this new service to her clients.
Scott, Co-Owner and Master Stylist
Scott is a Co-Owner of David Alexander Salon and Spa and is the lead educator in our Hair Stylist Associate Program. Scott graduated in the top of his class from the Graham Webb Academy in 1997. While working as a stylist he was also an educator for L'Oreal Professionnel for 5 years. He has attended master courses at Graham Webb, the L'Oreal SoHo Academy in New York and numerous in-salon educational sessions. People consider him patient, caring and a good listener. He loves to hear his client's concerns, wants and needs to deliver the color and style they deserve and expect.
Stacey, Senior Stylist
Stacey has been designing hair for over 15 years. She enjoys working with people and making them look and feel good. She knew at a young age she wanted to be part of the beauty industry. She enjoys continuing her education and learning the latest trends. She has attended the Graham Webb Academy, the Redken Exchange, Bumble and Bumble, the L'Oreal SoHo Academy and the Alphaparf Academy in Miami which have provided her advanced training in cutting and coloring techniques.
