Scott Ferguson is both an Owner of David Alexander Salon and Spa as well as the lead educator for the salon. As he says, "I started in the industry as a receptionist in a small salon in Annapolis while I was attending college. I knew my first day that this was what I wanted to do for my career. When I began my education At Graham Webb, hair became my passion. It still is today with a stronger focus on educating my clients and my associates."

Scott graduated in the top of his class from the Graham Webb Academy in 1997. Since then he has attended master courses at Graham Webb, the L'Oreal SoHo Academy in New York as well as with L'Oreal Symposium in Paris. In that period he had also served as an educator for L'Oreal for 5 years.

The Associate Program, which he designed, trains and develops new stylists on all aspects of the profession through continuing education and hands-on experience. This program is what we feel sets us apart as we can continue to grow our business with quality trained, knowledgeable, confident stylists.

Scott Brainard has over 10 years experience in operations management, training and development. His focus is creating the best customer experience possible from booking to checkout. His background includes turns at John Hopkins University working with state, local and federal officials developing training programs for students and workers, then at Sylvan Learning Centers as the Director of the center in Columbia, where he was recognized 3 years in a row as being in the top1% of all centers in the country.

He is also responsible for developing and integrating technology and social media streams into the operations and promotions of the business to enhance client communication and the client experience at David Alexander.

Linda & Gaylord Swanson each had over 30 years management experience in the financial services industry prior to becoming co-owners of David Alexander Salon & Spa in 2006.

Linda held vice president positions in both Customer Service and Human Resources with AT&T. Linda is committed to assuring that our clients receive the service they expect and deserve and that our people are recognized as our most valuable asset.

Gaylord's career includes roles as financial manager and senior credit officer for AT&T and Citibank. His focus is on growing client relationships, business partnerships and community awareness.

While their career shift was dramatic, the fundamentals of delivering high quality customer service through the effort of dedicated and skilled employees gives them the satisfaction that our guests will leave feeling better about themselves and their experience.
