How do I book an appointment?
Appointments can be booked either over the phone, by calling (410) 224-0519, or via online booking through the “Request Appointment” link on our website. Your online appointment will not be complete until you receive a confirmation email, so please make sure you have completed your appointment request so that we can best serve you.
When scheduling your appointment, please advise us of any medical conditions, allergies or injuries that could affect your service. A doctor’s release may be required prior to performing certain services, such as massage.
Do you accept group bookings?
Yes we accept group bookings, the more the merrier! We will do our very best to accommodate all of our guests. In order to do this please make sure that you and your party are booking in advance in order to get you to the best possible appointment(s). Upon arrival the front desk staff will assist you and your party through your salon and spa services.
How do I ensure I get my desired appointment date/time?
We strongly suggest you pre-book your next appointment to assure your day and time preferences can be accommodated. Please know that when you “request an appointment” online, it is not confirmed until you receive confirmation from us.
What if I have a multi-appointment?
If you have a multi- appointment day ahead of you, the front desk staff will be in charge of keeping your schedule and salon/services on track. Sit back and relax and let our staff guide you through your services.
What if I am late?
Should you arrive late, it may be necessary to adjust or reschedule your services so as to not inconvenience our later guests.
What should I expect when I arrive for the first visit?
Upon your arrival at David Alexander, you will be greeted by the front desk staff and introduced to your therapist. He or she will accompany you throughout the facility while carefully explaining the procedures. Our guests disrobe and redress in the comfort and privacy of their treatment rooms and are provided vanity items to refresh before departure.
We ask you to arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your scheduled service appointment time.

What is the Spa etiquette?
In order for all guests to enjoy the calming atmosphere of our salon and spa we ask that our guests respect spa etiquette throughout their visit. Out of consideration for all our guests, we discourage the use of cell phones and pagers in the Hair Salon. For the privacy and comfort of our Day Spa guests, electronic devices should be turned off while in the Day Spa. Out of consideration for all our guests, minors are not permitted in the Day Spa. Limited exceptions for selected services may be granted only with the express agreement of David Alexander Salon and Spa owners and with signed parental consent.
Will you serve alcoholic beverages?
At this time, David Alexander Salon and Spa does not serve alcoholic beverages.
How often should I get a massage/facial?
How often you receive spa services depends on the condition or your body or skin. The therapeutic affects of a massage or facial allow for the body to release toxins that build up in the muscle tissues or in the skin follicles. Consistent and regular treatment and removal of these toxins will result in looser and therefore less stressed muscle fibers and clearer skin. Please ask your spa technician for a referral on when you get your next treatment.
What beauty products do you use/carry?
Products that we use and carry in the Salon and Spa include: Sue Uemura, Kerastese, Loreal Professional, Institut Estederm, Jessica Cosmetics, Xtreme Lashes , and Foodlogix. For a full list, please contact the Salon.
What is the difference between salon products and general “grocery store” products?
The difference is not just the price. Initially you may think that you are spending more money with salon products, however that is not the case. With salon products you are getting a more concentrated product that, with consistent use, will provide your hair or skin with healthy, gorgeous and long lasting results.
Product returns for hair care products will be accepted within 30 days of purchase with the original receipt. All other product returns have a 14 day return allowance. All Makeup sales are final. Appliance returns may need to be handled directly with the manufacturer. Credit will be applied as store credit and not in cash nor as a credit card refund.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and gift cards. Returned checks are subject to the maximum allowable penalty by law. Payments in excess of service charges will be applied as store credit and not in cash nor as a credit card refund.
How much should I tip and what is the DA Tip Policy?
Tips are not expected but are appreciated. We accept tips on behalf of our staff in the form of cash only. For your convenience an ATM is available on premises.
